Austin band Font formed last year and quickly gained a reputation for their sweaty live shows, with their punky dance-rock style whipping crowds into a frenzy. They were soon playing shows with Water From Your Eyes, bar italia, and Horsegirl, and they just wrapped up dates with CHAI.
Font released their debut single, “Sentence I,” last year, and now they’re back with “It,” a banger that might remind some of the mid-’00s post-punk revival era that gave us !!!, Shout Out Out Out, and Out Hud. (Model/Actriz, Black Country New Road, and Crack Cloud might also come to mind.) You can watch the video for “It” and check out “Sentence I” as well below.
The band’s only upcoming live date is a hometown appearance at Levitation fest.
