After sharing “Dysphoria Hoodie,” the first single from her in-the-works solo album, Laura Jane Grace (Against Me!) has officially announced her new LP, Hole In My Head, due out February 16 via Polyvinyl. It’s her first release since 2021’s At War with the Silverfish, and she recorded it with David Beeman at St. Louis, MO’s Native Sound. Matt Allison mixed the album, and Drive-By Truckers bassist Matt Patton performs on it. See the cover art and tracklist below.
The second single is the propulsive title track, a shout-along punk song accompanied by a video directed by Gilbert Trejo. Watch that below.
In addition to her previously announced December and January shows with Mya Byrne, Laura has announced a US tour (with Matt Patton and Mikey Erg in her band) for March with Nashville’s garagey Thelma and the Sleaze and Gainesville emo-punks Dikembe supporting on most dates. The outing begins on March 2 in Indianapolis and wrap up on March 24 in Fort Worth; see all dates below.
Laura’s tour includes an NYC show at Racket on March 9. Tickets to all dates go on sale Friday, November 10 at 10 AM local, with various presales starting Wednesday, November 8 at 10 AM.
