Last month, Joanna Newsom announced a Los Angeles solo harp and piano residency, “The Strings/Keys Reincidence”, following her set at Salt Lake City’s Kilby Block Party. She’s now added two more shows, on May 26 and 27 at The Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 19 at 10 AM PT., and Sunday’s show is a “matinee performance for the little ones (and their keepers);” it’s the second matinee show of the run, and she said she’d “tailor the setlist to be not only suitable for children, but specifically designed with them in mind.”
The previously announced residency dates from May 15-19 are sold out. Hopefully she’ll play some of the 11 new songs she said she’s written when she made her surprise live return last year, opening for Fleet Foxes in LA.
