Jesse Malin adds 2nd Beacon Theatre benefit show ft. The Hold Steady, Tommy Stinson, Willie Nile, more

Earlier this week, Jesse Malin announced his return to the stage for the first time since suffering a rare spinal-cord stroke that left him paralyzed from the waist down. The hometown NYC show happens on December 1 at Beacon Theatre, and they’ve now added a second night, on December 2 at Beacon Theatre. Tickets for both shows go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 28 at 10 AM ET.

Jesse will be joined by his band and a bunch of special guests at each show. Night one will feature Lucinda Williams, Rickie Lee Jones, Jakob Dylan, Butch Walker, J Mascis, Adam Duritz and David Immy of Counting Crows, Alejandro Escovedo, hosts Michael Imperioli and Mary-Louise Parker, and more to be announced.

Guests for night two include Lucinda Williams, The Hold Steady, J Mascis, Adam Durtiz and David Immy of Counting Crows, Butch Walker, Willie Nile, Tommy Stinson, Adam Weiner of Low Cut Connie, and more to be announced.

Proceeds from both shows go to Jesse’s medical care via his Sweet Relief artist fund, and there are also premium and VIP options available.

Silver Patron Saints: The Songs of Jesse Malin, a guest-filled new benefit album celebrating Jesse’s music, is also on the way, and features Bruce Springsteen, Green Day‘s Billie Joe Armstrong, Lucinda Williams and Elvis Costello, The Hold Steady, Tommy Stinson, Alison Mosshart with the late Wayne Kramer, Tom Morello, Counting Crows, Dinosaur Jr., The Wallflowers, Spoon, Susanna Hoffs, Frank Turner, and Rancid. Malin’s new live album and concert film, Chasing the Light, is out now.
