Late-’90s emo band Jejune are the latest group to have their catalogue get the Numero Group reissue treatment — the Wait A Lifetime box set is out June 19. It includes albums Junk and This Afternoon’s Malady, plus a first time vinyl pressing of R.I.P., which now includes their unfinished 3rd album, singles, splits, and comp tracks. There’s also a 28-page accompanying booklet featuring a new essay by Nina Corcoran, plus dozens of period photos, and more. Check out the packaging and artwork below.
Jejune played their first shows in over 25 years in Japan in February, and they’ll play their first US shows later this year, starting with Your Renaissance at Santa Ana’s The Observatory on June 20, which is with Eldritch Anisette, the sea, the sea, Train Breaks Down, Nuzzle, Clay Birds, Arranged in April, Love Letter, and Stella.
They’ve also announced will also be playing a few new shows to celebrate the box set, including a couple on the East Coast: their hometown of Boston on July 9 at The Sinclair with Shyness Clinic, and NYC on July 10 at Mercury Lounge with Ethel Meserve. UPDATE: They’ve added a second NYC show, on July 8 at Mercury Lounge, with Shyness Clinic.
