Pride March organizers NYC Pride throw an annual concert series, Pride Island, in June, and the first performers for the 2020 edition have been announced. The shows happen at Pier 97 Hudson River Park on June 26, 27, and 28, and Janelle Monae headlines the Saturday 6/27 date, which also includes sets from Pussy Riot, Betty Who, Lusia Sonza, and DJs Coco & Breezy. Presale tickets are on sale for Mastercard holders through Thursday 3/12.
Two acts, Dani Toro and Eddie Martinez, have been announced for the Sunday 6/28 show, with more, headliner included, still TBA; Friday’s lineup is also yet to be announced.
