NYC band Ivy have announced their first shows since the death of co-founding member Adam Schlesinger in 2020, which are also their first US shows in 15 years. Surviving members Dominique Durand and Andy Chase, along with longtime collaborator Bruce Driscoll, will play a few dates leading up to their appearance at NV festival Schellraiser’s Humboldt Hideaway.
Those shows are: Chicago on May 14 at Park West, NYC on May 21 at Sony Hall, and Los Angeles on May 27 at Teragram Ballroom. Tickets for those shows go on sale Friday, November 14 at 10 AM local time.
Ivy released Traces of You earlier this year, which features newly completed versions of previously unfinished songs/recordings from their archive, all of which feature Schlesinger. It’s a graceful return, another fine collection of elegant indie pop, and a lovely tribute to their bandmate. You can listen below.
