Iceage‘s Elias Rønnenfelt has announced Heavy Glory, his debut solo album, which will be out October 25 via Escho. (Rønnenfelt has released records as Marching Church, but this is his first under his own name.) It was Copenhagen and features contributions from Iceage’s Dan Kjær Nielsen, Danish punk legend (and Nicolas Winding Refn collaborator) Peter Peter, and singers Joanne Robertson and Fauzia. In addition to 10 originals it features covers of Spacemen 3’s “Sound of Confusion” and Townes Van Zandt’s “No Place to Fall.”
The album includes “Like Lovers Do,” which was released back in May, and he’s just shared new single “No One Else.” It’s a slow build, starting all spectral but builds to a nice simmer. Watch the video, which Elias directed, below.
Elias will be in NYC next month, performing at Giorno Poetry Systems on September 26. That’s his only current live date.
