Jazz great, tropicalia icon and music industry legend Herb Alpert is reviving his old band, The Tijuana Brass, for their first tour in 40 years. Dubbed the “Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass & Other Delights Tour,” it will commemorate the 60th anniversary of his classic album Whipped Cream & Other Delights with a new lineup of the Brass.
Dates kick off February 11 in Fort Lauderdale and conclude in NYC on his 90th birthday (March 31) at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Tickets for all dates of the tour go on sale Friday, October 25 at 10 AM local time.
Before that Alpert and Lani Hall will play a few shows together in Nashville, Chattanooga, Atlanta, Metairie, LA and Houston.
