London post-punks Heartworms released their great debut EP earlier this year and are now back with a new single, “May I Comply,” that’s out now via Speedy Wunderground. Label head Dan Carey produced and it’s a slinky, slithery and danceable track with Jojo Orme’s magnetic presence at the center.
“When I wrote this track I just wanted to get over an ex and to tell my little brother he’s good enough,” says Orme. “Turned out to be a lot darker than I thought.” You can watch the video below.
Heartworms will be heading out on their first North American tour in 2024 as openers for The Kills. Their first show is at NYC’s Webster Hall on February 27, and tickets for go on sale today (11/7) at 10 AM. (The Kills’ 2/26 Webster Hall show is with The Paranoyds and is sold out.)
