Nashville-based artist Hannah Cole makes crunchy, chewy indie rock that is grungy and poppy in a mid-’90s way. Following a couple EPs, she’s set to released her debut album, Switchbacks, on September 4 via Tight Knit. She made it with her partner Josef Kuhn, and the record was mixed by Sonny Diperri (American Football, Wisp, Julie).
The first single from the album is “MMA” which hits hard but sings softly and is very satisfying in that low end heavy shoegaze way. Watch the video below.
Hannah will be on tour this fall, including dates with Evil Adeline and Maddie FM. She plays NYC’s Night Club 101 on September 30 with Evil Adeline and tickets go on sale Friday, July 10 at 10 AM. All dates are below.
