Catskills-based singer-songwriter Hannah Cohen has announced her fourth album, Earthstar Mountain, due out on March 28 via Bella Union / Congrats Records. It was produced by Sam Evian, her regular collaborator and partner, and also features contributions from Sufjan Stevens, Clairo, Liam Kazar, Oliver Hill, and Sean Mullins. The lead single is the mellow “Earthstar.” “For me ‘Earthstar’ is about the complexity of connection, the risk and vulnerability of love,” Hannah says. “The song grapples with the idea that ultimately, we will never completely know someone.” CJ Harvey directed the accompanying video, and you can watch it below.
Hannah will celebrate her new album at Brooklyn’s Union Pool on April 16. It’s her only upcoming show at the moment, and tickets are on sale now. UPDATE: She’s added a second show at Union Pool on April 15.
