Gladie announces new album, tours with Saintseneca and Noun

Gladie recently released their very good, Jeff Rosenstock-assisted single “Car Alarm,” and now they’ve announced a new album, No Need To Be Lonely, which was also produced by Jeff Rosenstock, and recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jeff collaborator Jack Shirley. It features “Car Alarm,” as well as new single “Future Spring,” a revved-up, ragged indie-punk song that finds Augusta Koch’s show-stopping voice sounding as soaring and expressive as ever. Augusta says:

“Future Spring” is about grappling with the isolation and loneliness that’s created by the cruelty of the world we live in. I wanted to capture the feeling of being in conversation with a friend, questioning why at times we can let outside influences shrink us. I think the world would be a lot better if we encouraged each other to be kinder to themselves and by extension others. It’s good to remind people that you are happy they’re here.

No Need To Be Lonely comes out March 20 via Get Better Records. Check out “Future Spring” below.

Gladie will also be doing a West Coast tour with Saintseneca in March/April, followed by an East Coast tour with Noun (the band led by Screaming Females’ Marissa Paternoster) in April/May. The run with Noun hits Kingston, NY’s Tubby’s on May 7 and Ridgewood, NY’s TV Eye on May 8. All dates are listed below.
