Austin’s Levitation festival lineup was announced this week and one thing that caught our eye was “Gibby Haynes: Butthole Surfers Mania.” We don’t know full details on what exactly that is — but probably Gibby playing lots of Butthole Surfers songs — but he will be warming up for the festival with four-show residency at Brooklyn’s Union Pool in August.
Gibby Haynes: Butthole Surfers Mania happens every Wednesday in August, which is 8/5, 8/12, 8/19 and 8/26. Tickets are on sale now!
In other news, Butthole Surfers will release “lost” album After the Astronaut on June 26 and they’ve also got a new documentary, The Hole Truth and Nothing Butt.
