Friko released their great debut full-length, Where we’ve been, Where we go from here, back in February, and they’ve announced an expanded edition, due out on November 22 via ATO. It features eleven bonus tracks, including live recordings from a March 1 hometown Chicago show at Metro, demo versions of “Get Numb To It!” and “Repeat Yourself,” a cover of My Bloody Valentine’s “When You Sleep,” and new single “If I Am,” which you can hear below.
“‘If I Am,’ along with the rest of the other new songs on this expanded edition, go back as far as 2019,” Friko say. “They were some of the first songs we played at DIY and small club shows in Chicago. They kind of got left behind after we had written the songs for the record but we’re so glad they’re getting to see the light of day because they were some of the first songs we wrote as a band.”
Friko have also announced a 2025 North American tour, beginning on February 25 in St. Louis and running through May 22 in Minneapolis. See all dates below.
The NYC show is at Music Hall of Williamsburg on March 7. Tickets to all dates go on sale Friday, October 25 at 10 AM local, with various presales happening now.
