Leonard Cohen, who sadly passed away at age 82 this year (weeks after releasing a great album), will be honored with a tribute at Lincoln Center on Monday (12/5). It was organized by Hal Wilner, who also helped organize the Lou Reed tribute at Lincoln Center earlier this year. Unlike that one, the Leonard Cohen tribute will have no speakers or live performances.
They’re calling it an “informal gathering” and it will feature “recordings of Cohen’s vast body of work, chosen by friends and fans.” It takes place at the outdoor Hearst Plaza, and it’s totally free and open to the public. It goes from noon to 4 PM. More info here.
