Foo Fighters have dropped off the lineup of this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, CT, where they had been scheduled to headline on Sunday, September 29. This was to have been their first show since Dave Grohl issued a statement on the baby “born outside of my marriage,” and in a message on the band’s Instagram, they write, “Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival. Please check the festival website for more information.” The festival had been the only show Foo Fighters had scheduled following Grohl’s announcement.
Soundside’s own statement reads, “Unfortunately, Foo Fighters have announced they’re no longer performing this weekend.” They’ve also added two artists to Sunday’s lineup to replace Foo Fighters: Jack White (who also recently announced intimate Pacific Northwest shows happening next week) and Greta Van Fleet. Previously, they’d added Bleachers to Sunday’s lineup to replace Queens of the Stone Age, who cancelled their 2024 tour dates while Josh Homme receives “essential medical care.”
Saturday’s lineup includes Noah Kahan, Goo Goo Dolls, Fleet Foxes, Boyz II Men, Grace Potter, Thee Sacred Souls, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Lisa Loeb and Nine Stories, Madi Diaz, and Rijah. Sunday’s lineup also has Teddy Swims, Norah Jones, Gregory Alan Isakov, Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, The War and Treaty, Hurray for the Riff Raff, and Darren Kiely.
