Last year Floating Points released his great debut album, Elaenia, which was recorded with a full band and was closer to chilled-out jazz than his earlier electronic recordings. He toured in support of it, including playing a show with an 11-piece band at Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival, and he’s set to tour again this year.
Not long before playing US festivals Moogfest and Shaky Beats, Floating Points will play two live shows in NYC: May 12 at Bowery Ballroom and May 13 at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Tickets for those shows go on sale Friday (2/5) at noon.
