Ekko Astral have announced that on their headlining Midwest tour in August, they’ll be doing trans aid fundraisers at each show. The announcement reads:
ekko astral is proud to announce that we will be working with TransOhio for our upcoming ohio shows, as well as Y’All and GenderNexus for our upcoming indianapolis show, to raise money for direct financial aid to locals who are trans as well as to bring awareness and joyous raucous times to anyone who so chooses to attend.
we will be raising money at each of our shows on our midwest tour with Tetchy for local community trans rights orgs. groups will also be tabling and speaking during our concerts, in support of what should simply be a liberty granted to all by our society. we’re still in the process of finding folks to work with at our pittsburgh, chicago and detroit shows, so if you know anyone in activism, advocacy or GAC assistance who could make a good ally for these shows, please holler! our dms will be open to you.

All dates on the tour are opening opened by Tetchy, and they also just added local openers, including Morning Dew in Pittsburgh, Frizbee in Indianapolis, Sawamura No Hitter in Chicago, Killing Pixies in Detroit, and Pretty Pretty Awful in Cleveland. Tickets to all shows here.
Meanwhile, Ekko Astral’s East Coast run with Lambrini Girls hits Brooklyn’s Sultan Room on Friday (7/19), and the band just announced a tour supporting Deerhoof that hits brings them back to NYC for an outdoor show at The Ruins at Knockdown Center on September 26.
