Duff McKagan, who was a punk in Seattle before joining Guns N’ Roses, is celebrating his loud-fast beginning with new singles with Lee Ving (Fear) and “Joey Shithead” Keithley (D.O.A.), who he is also touring with in November.
The songs with Lee Ving (“All Turning Loose”) and Joey Shithead (“My Name is Bob”) are rippers and 2/3rds of a trio of singles, the third of which is a version of David Bowie’s “Heroes” live from London’s Islington Hall featuring another punk legend, Steve Jones of Sex Pistols.
“’All Turning Loose’ seems to highlight those times in life that you just wanna pull your fuckin’ hair out! Lee Ving adds his pure brilliance…and it makes me so happy!” says Duff. “’My Name is Bob’ is a fun rocker that seemed to write itself one day. Having Joey Shithead be my compatriot along for the ride is one of the best things that could ever happen.”
Lee adds, “Witness the power and glory from DUFF & Co on the forthcoming single “All Turning Loose!! Don’t miss it (especially with me singing on it)!” Meanwhile, Joey says “My Name is Bob” is “a great story about how messed up life can be for the average person. Duff hit the nail directly on the head with this one. My name is Joe but I’m glad to help kick ass in the name of Bob! Ya Hey!!!”

As for the tour, which is in continued support of Duff’s 2023 album Lighthouse, (get it on exclusive emerald green vinyl) dates happen in November, with Boston, NYC, Chicago, and Denver all being with Lee Ving’s Range War, while Portland and Seattle shows are with Joey Shithead. There’s also an L.A. date with Duff’s daughter, Grace McKagan, also on the bill. The NYC show is at Le Poisson Rouge on 11/6.
