Former Coil and Psychic TV member Drew McDowall will release a new album, A Thread, Silvered and Trembling, on May 31 via DAIS. The album was co-produced by engineer Randall Dunn in Brooklyn and continues McDowall’s exploration of the mournful solo bagpipe style called pibroch, complimented with electronics and a wide variety of orchestral instruments on this ode to “the ineffable – that which refuses to be spoken.”

McDowall will tour this year for the album, beginning with a NYC show at Le Poisson Rouge on May 31, and followed by shows in Toronto, Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 29 at 10 AM local time. All dates are listed below.
