The DEVO documentary hit Netflix in August and if you haven’t seen it, it’s very much worth watching, full of rare footage from the band’s early beginnings in ’70s Ohio, not to mention their rise to new wave fame in the ’80s. This week they’re releasing its soundtrack, Energy Dome Frequencies: Songs From The DEVO Documentary, on vinyl and CD via Rhino. It includes such classics as “Whip It,” “Girl U Want,” “Freedom of Choice,” “Mongoloid,” “Uncontrolable Urge,” “Jocko Homo,” and more. Meanwhile, DEVO wrap up their Cosmic Devolution tour with the B-52s this weekend in Texas, and then have headline shows in Denver and Saint Paul later in November.
