Deradoorian has announced a new album Ready for Heaven, which will be out May 9 via Fire Records. She co-produced it with Sonny DiPerri, who has engineered sessions with My Bloody Valentine, M83 and more. She says, “This album is partly about watching humanity erode. It’s about mental struggle, and it’s avowedly anti-capitalist. I mean; would we have all these identity labels we have to live by, if we didn’t live in a capitalist world?”
The first single from the album is “Set Me Free,” a delicate synth-baroque ballad. You can watch the video, directed by Fred Joseph, below.
Deradoorian will open for DARKSIDE at their California shows in Santa Cruz and San Francisco in April, and has a record release show at LA’s 2220 Arts on May 10. Those dates are listed below.
