After three years of producing the Cruel World festival in Pasadena (and a fourth in May), which features lineups of mostly ’80s-era alternative, post-punk, and new wave, AEG and Goldenvoice are launching a sister festival in the UK named Forever Now. The inaugural edition happens June 22 in Milton Keynes and will be headlined by Kraftwerk, The The and Billy Idol.
The rest of the lineup includes Johnny Marr, The Damned (performing The Black Album in full), The Jesus & Mary Chain, Death Cult, The Psychedelic Furs (whose 1982 album the festival is named for), The Motels, PiL, Peter Murphy, Happy Mondays, The Motels, Berlin, The Chameleons, Theatre of Hate, UK Decay, and She Wants Revenge.
Acts will play across two stages, and a third stage, Echo Chamber, will feature artists interviews and panel discussions curated by music writer and Louder Than War founder John Robb.
