Reunited NYC ska-core vets Choking Victim played two rare shows at Brooklyn’s Market Hotel over the weekend, including one with cabaret punk vets The World/Inferno Friendship Society. You’ll now have a chance to catch those two bands together in NYC again, as both were just added to Punk Island 2019, which happens on Randall’s Island on June 22. The fest organizers write:

Did you miss Choking Victim and The World/Inferno Friendship Society tonight? Well not to worry because guess what?! BOTH BANDS ARE PLAYING AT PUNK ISLAND we repeat BOTH BANDS ARE PLAYING AT PUNK ISLAND! This is not a test, this is not a joke, this is FACT! Catch CV & WIFS this coming Saturday at Punk Island along with our other headliner Days N Daze 😍 CV and DND will be playing the Dispatches from the Underground stage and WIFS will be on the Brooklyn TransCore stage! All other bands will complete their sets before the headliners play so you will have plenty of time to soak up their sounds.
