Chicago hardcore band Life’s Question have announced a new self-titled EP, due April 19 via Flatspot Records (pre-order). The first single is “When I Meet God,” which finds the band’s chuggy hardcore in fine form, and then takes an unexpected twist when guitarist Abby Rhine brings in soaring, ethereal clean vocals. It was produced by Jon Markson (Drug Church, Drain, etc), and it comes with a cinematic video directed by Luis Hernandez, and you can check that out below.
Life’s Question are about to begin their stint opening the first leg of the Koyo, Anxious, One Step Closer tour this Thursday (2/29) at Space Ballroom in Connecticut. (You may remember that Abby also sings on a Koyo song… maybe they’ll do it together live?) They also play Flatspot World at SXSW. All dates are listed below.
The Koyo/Anxious/OSC tour’s second leg is with Stateside, and that leg hits NYC’s Brooklyn Monarch on March 28.
