Seatle’s Chastity Belt will be on tour with Courtney Barnett this spring, including three sold-out shows at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom in May. You’ll have one more chance to see them in NYC as BrooklynVegan is presenting a Chastity Belt headlining show at Rough Trade on May 22 (that’s the day after the last Courtney Barnett show Bowery Ballroom). It’s a late show (doors at 10:30 PM) with an opener TBA. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (3/6) at noon.
Chastity Belt’s great new album, Time to Go Home, puts real snarl (and welcome humor) into jangly pop, and it will be out March 24 via Hardly Art. (Pre-orders are available.) Check out the video for the album’s slow-burn title track below.
