Brooklyn trio Bambara make swaggering, pitch-black, howing rock in the mould of Swans, The Birthday Party and The Gun Club. The band are gearing up to release their second album, Swarm, which will be out March 4 via Arrowhawk. You can check out first single “An Ill Son,” which mixes bile with a little twang, below.
Bambara, whose amplifiers are usually stuck set to “tinnitus,” will play Brooklyn’s Alphaville on Saturday (1/23) which is Pop. 1280‘s record release party which also has The Sediment Club on the bill. Tickets are on sale.
