Broken Social Scene‘s Kevin Drew will release a new solo album, Aging, on September 22 (physical) and November 3 (digital) via Arts & Crafts. “Pain is a hard thing to let go until you’re ready,” Drew says of the album’s themes. “And that’s kind of where I was at with this record. Music, for me, is a release – it’s a place where I can go and express what it is that I want to say.”
Two songs are out now. “Out in the Fields” is an elegant fist-pumping call to action, while “Party Oven” is a somber ballad. Listen to both below.
Kevin will be out with Broken Social Scene this fall, celebrating the 20th anniversary of You Forgot it in People, including shows in Boston, Buffalo, Detroit, St. Louis, Nashville, and more. All dates are listed below.
