Big Thief are releasing their debut album Masterpiece later this month on May 27 via Saddle Creek and today they shared a lovely new single off it, “Paul.” It’s a solemn love song where frontwoman Adrienne Lenker sings about nostalgic memories of a past love, with hints of Regina Spektor (particularly “Samson”). As mentioned, Big Thief are currently on tour, and their schedule currently includes three NYC shows. There’s the record release show at Mercury Lounge on June 5 (tickets), the free BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival show in Prospect Park on June 23 with Alvvays and Ducktails, and the show supporting Lucius at Central Park SummerStage on September 23 (tickets). Updates dates are listed below.
