Mike D of Beastie Boys has announced a few new shows, happening this month in NYC and Los Angeles. He’s also promising “new music,” saying, “Los Angeles and Brooklyn. It’s happening. Shows. New music. Switch Up. Let’s Go.”
The shows happen on Thursday (5/7) at Plaza Night Club and Dance Hall and Sunday (5/10) at Sid the Cat Auditorium in California, and May 22 and 23 at Xanadu in Brooklyn. Tickets are on sale now.
Mike D recently made a couple of surprise appearances in California, joining his sons Skyler and Davis Diamond for performances of their band Very Nice Person at Ojai Woman’s Club and in Malibu. He did Beastie Boys songs at both, “So What’cha Want” and “Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun.” in Ojai and “So What’cha Want” in Malbiu. Video from both has been circulating, and you can watch below.
