Alabama Shakes confirm reunion, playing Minnesota fest with Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Weezer & more

Alabama Shakes returned last month for their first show since 2017, which happened at Tuscaloosa, AL’s Bama Theatre, and they followed that with an Instagram post showing them in the studio, with the teaser “Working on some exciting stuff!” They’ve now announced they’ll play St. Paul, MN festival Minnesota Yacht Club, which happens on July 18-20 at Harriet Island Regional Park. They headline Friday, July 18 with Hozier, and that day also has Sheryl Crow, Father John Misty, Hamilton Leithauser, and more.

The festival also has Fall Out Boy and Weezer headlining Saturday, and Green Day and Sublime headlining Sunday, along with sets from Remi Wolf, Motion City Soundtrack, Silversun Pickups, Garbage, Beach Bunny, Winona Fighter, and more. A presale begins Thursday January 30 at 10 AM Ct, with a public on-sale to follow for any remaining tickets, and you can see the full lineup below.

Alabama Shakes frontwoman Brittany Howard has been keeping busy over the past few years between the band’s shows — she released two solo albums, most recently last year’s What Now, and earlier this month she gave her hardcore band Kumite their live debut.
