Welsh trio Adwaith announce new album – hear “Miliwn”

Welsh trio Adwaith will release new album Solas on February 7 via Libertino Records. The 23-track double LP is their first since 2022’s Welsh Music Prize-winning Bato Mato, and is the final chapter in what they call their coming-of-age trilogy. Most of it is sung in Cymraeg, the Welsh language. “The use of Cymraeg throughout Solas feels natural, truthful, and necessary,” says the band’s Gwenllian Anthony. “We wanted listeners to feel something instinctive and emotional in the music, whether or not they understood every word.”

The first single from the album is the groovy, danceable “Miliwn” which they says is “about realising how little time we have on this planet and encourages you to give your energy and love to people and places that make you feel good. It’s a reminder to celebrate your small wins and romanticise your life in any way you can.”

You can watch the “Miliwn” video below.

Adwaith will be on tour across the UK and Europe in 2025. All dates are below.
