One of the latest TikTok-assisted ’90s alt-rock resurgences is Bôa, the UK band whose 1998 song “Duvet” is now more massive than ever. It went viral after being sampled by Spanish rapper Yung Beef, and it’s now been in roughly 300,000 TikTok videos and has nearly 400 million Spotify streams. In conjunction with their surprise resurgence, they’re gearing up to release their first album in two decades, Whiplash, and first single “Walk With Me” is out now. It’s cut from the same jangly ’90s alt-rock cloth as their classic material, with Jasmine Rodgers’ voice sounding as soaring as ever, and–with ’90s alt-rock infiltrating so much modern music in 2024–it sounds entirely current too.
Bôa are gearing up to take their show on the road with a North American tour this September, and it’s selling fast. They’re playing Brooklyn’s Warsaw on September 25 and September 26, and night one is already sold out (resale tickets are available though). Act quick and see all dates listed below.
Both shows will be opened by LA-based ’90s alt-rock revivalists Rocket, who are also opening ’90s band Ride‘s tour, which also hits Warsaw, on December 6. All dates for that tour here.
