Castlewood, Virginia country band 49 Winchester have announced a new album, Leavin’ This Holler, due August 2 via New West Records (pre-order). The first single is the rollicking “Yearnin’ For You,” of which singer/guitarist Isaac Gibson says, “When I wrote this song, I felt like it really encapsulated what it’s like to be a musician, and more specifically that other side of the coin that fans don’t see as often. The people you miss so badly, the sacrifice that it takes to forge out a living. I think more importantly it’s a love song. It’s about reuniting with the one that holds you down, and how great it is to finally be back where you are loved. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.” Check out the song and its video below.
49 Winchester have upcoming arena shows opening for Tyler Childers this month, an appearance at Bonnaroo, and a just-announced headlining tour that brings them to NYC for a two-night stand at Bowery Ballroom (September 10 & 11).
