Cherry Glazerr release the muscular, snarling Apocalipstick this week via Secretly Canadian, a record that’s leaps and bounds better than anything they’d done previously. Tonight’s the release party.

For the second year in a row, the late A$AP Yams will be celebrated with a NYC show on the anniversary of his death. The lineup is even more stacked than last year, with a who’s who of current New York rap, today’s West Coast giants TDE, the forever-weird Danny Brown, New York vet Cam’ron, the crooning T-Pain, and more.
Bash and Pop (featuring Tommy Stinson), Mikey Erg @ Mercury Lounge
It’s been 25 years since Tommy Stinson’s post-Replacements band Bash & Pop released their debut (and only) album. Stinson’s reactivated the name and will release Anything Could Happen this week.
Medeski, Martin & Wood @ Le Poisson Rouge
Chris Wood had to undergo emergency surgery back in October; recovered, MM&W play this makeup show tonight
Sharon Van Etten, Beirut, Daniel Rossen, Kevin Morby, Hand Habits @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
A killer lineup of talent comes together to help raise money for Planned Parenthood and the ACLU tonight. Many of these artists will also perform at Rough Trade on Thursday.
Muuy Biien, Bambara, Decorum, Rube @ Shea Stadium
Athens, GA’s Muuy Biien play dark postpunk, emphasis on the punk end, like an unlit garage. They headline this bill of generally similar type bands. Get moody.
