You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…
AFI, Nothing, Souvenirs @ Starland Ballroom
Goth-punk vets AFI returned this year with AFI (The Blood Album), which was hailed as something of a return to the classic Sing the Sorrow. It’s not quite as good as their classic era, but their live shows are still tight as hell, and both openers tonight are great too.
Punk Island
NYC’s annual Punk Island returns this year on Sunday, June 18, moving from last year’s location of Governors Island to Randall’s Island. As always, it’s free and all ages. It goes from 10 AM to 8 PM, and features tons of punk bands across seven stages.
Isley Brothers @ Kings Theatre
Ronald and Ernie Isley can still make you wanna shout. Part of the Blue Note Jazz Festival.
