David Gilmour @ Radio City Music Hall
Pink Floyd guitarist/vocalist David Gilmour plays his first of three NYC shows in support of new album Rattle That Lock. Two nights at MSG follow.
Michael Hurley, Sleepy Doug Shaw @ Union Pool
Having spent time in the ’60 Greenwich Village scene with his work covered by Holy Modal Rounders (who he also collaborated with) and others, acclaimed folk songwriter and performer Michael Hurley has remained active and prolific into his 70s. Tonight’s his second of two sold-out Union Pool shows this weekend.

It’s another edition of ‘The Hum,’ a series of unique all-women collaborative concerts.
Harmony Tividad (of Girlpool), Hovvdy, The Glow, Doubles @ Palisades
While Girlpool often stand out for the duo’s singing in unison, tonight you’ll get a chance to hear Harmony Tividad take the mic on her own.
Asaf Avidan @ Rough Trade
Israeli singer Asaf Avidan kinda sounds like a higher-pitched Leonard Cohen, and last year’s Gold Shadow is a very enjoyable record. Tonight he begins a four-show run at Rough Trade.
Wildhoney,The Spirit of the Beehive, Heaven’s Gate, Big Bliss @ Acheron
There are no shortage of bands these days borrowing from the late ’80s shoegaze scene, but few bands put as much emphasis on songwriting as Baltimore’s Wildhoney. Cream of the hazy crop. Same goes for Heaven’s Gate who are more a rock band with shoegaze tendencies.
Mike Birbiglia @ The Lynn Redgrave Theater
Comedian Mike Birbiglia has been doing his show “Thank God for the Jokes” for nearly two years. He’s putting it to bed, but not before this run which was recently extended through May.
