You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Governors Ball Day 3 @ Randall’s Island
NYC music festival Governors Ball wraps up today, and the big news is the headlining set from Kanye West, which will likely be truly unpredictable. Also on today’s lineup is soulful, jammy indie rockers Whitney; rising rappers Vince Staples, Vic Mensa and Joey Bada$$; tongue in cheek rockers Eagles of Death Metal; breakout rocker Courtney Barnett; indie vets Death Cab for Cutie, and more.

UPDATE: GovBall posted: “Doors for today’s show have been delayed due to weather. An update on the status of the show will be posted here no later than 12:30pm EST today. Until we have posted an update, please do not come to Randall’s Island Park for the festival.” Stay tuned.

Hot 97 Summer Jam @ MetLife Stadium
There’s another cool festival across the river today, the annual hip hop fest Summer Jam. This one’s pretty stacked, with Future, Fat Joe & Remy Ma, DJ Khaled & Friends, A$AP Rocky & Ferg, Young Thug, Chance the Rapper (on the side stage), and more.

Big Thief, Sam Evian, Twain, Tiny Hazard @ Mercury Lounge
Big Thief are one of a few recent Saddle Creek signees (including Hop Along) making the kind of honest, relatable music that the label was known for in the early/mid 2000s. Tonight’s the sold-out release show for their very good debut album, Masterpiece.

Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band @ Capitol Theatre
One of two living Beatles, Ringo Starr brings His All Starr Band (Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie, Steve Lukather, Richard Page, Warren Ham and Gregg Bissonette) to the NYC-area for three shows this month. This is the first.

Modern English, Casanovas In Heat, Shadow Age, Dame, Pawns, Cheena @ Baby’s All Right (2 shows)
Post-punk/new wave vets Modern English, best known for their hit “I Melt With You,” are playing their debut album, Mesh & Lace, on this tour. There were originally a matinee and a night show today, but now it’s just the evening show.

Haybaby, Best Behavior, Little Racer, Beachmen, Chaos Chaos, Big Bliss, The Teen Age, The Boobies, The Nuclears, Wet Leather @ Color Me Bushwick
It’s the final day of the free Color Me Bushwick festival which combines indie rock and hair styling. Seriously.

Les Savy Fav, WALL @ Saint Vitus
It’s been a while since Les Savy Fav have played a show. Specifically, it was their Death by Audio show during the last three weeks of the DIY venue’s existence. The band are set to play ATP Iceland in July but will shake the barnacles off the bow tonight. The headliner is officially listed as “Let’s Stay Friends” but, y’know. Sold out, natch.

Jorma Kaukonen @ City Winery
As a member of Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna, and as a solo artist, Jorma Kaukonen has been a remarkably consistent force in the rock/blues/folk world for almost 50 years. This is his second of two sold-out City Winery shows this weekend.

Vacation, Shockwaves @ Cake Shop
Scrappy Cincinnati pop punks Vacation wrap up their two-night stay in NYC tonight.

Miike Snow @ Surf Lodge
If you happen to be out in Montauk today, there are worse ways to spend it than seeing Swedish pop act Miike Snow play the tiny Surf Lodge.
