The Wonder Years played ‘No Closer to Heaven’ & more at Brooklyn Paramount (pics, video, setlist)
The Wonder Years are celebrating 10 years of their crucial 2015 album No Closer to Heaven playing it in full on tour, and they kicked off the North American leg of the run on Wednesday night (3/4) with a show at Brooklyn Paramount. Their set started with the album performance, with the sequence switched up just a little and the addition of bonus track “Slow Dancing with San Andreas” halfway through. They followed that with a mix of songs from throughout their discography, including two from their most recent album, 2022’s great The Hum Goes on Forever, and their 2025 song for Irish wrestler Becky Lynch, “New Lows.” Knuckle Puck open the whole tour, and Equipment were also on hand for Brooklyn Paramount on Wednesday night. The Wonder Years say that “with the exception of a few festivals that we’ve already agreed to,” “these are the last shows we’re planning on doing for an undetermined amount of time.” Their tour currently runs through April with festival dates after.
