After making his official return to the stage on Sunday night, Jesse Malin did it again on Monday (9/2), playing a second hometown benefit show that was also his second performance since suffering a rare spinal-cord stroke last year that left him paralyzed from the waist down.

Night two had some night one guests returning — J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr., Rickie Lee Jones, Danny Clinch, Jakob Dylan of The Wallflowers, Adam Durtiz and David Immy of Counting Crows, Butch Walker — and some new guests, including The Hold Steady, Willie Nile, Tommy Stinson, Adam Weiner of Low Cut Connie, Eugene Hutz and Sergey Ryabstev of Gogol Bordello.

Some of them performed their covers from Jesse’s recent Silver Patron Saints benefit album, and Jesse himself did a similar mix of covers and original songs, with everyone ending up on stage together for the finale, a rendition of Ramones’ “Do You Remember Rock ‘n’ Roll Radio?”

Like night one, proceeds went to Jesse’s medical care via his Sweet Relief artist fund, and you can see pictures by Sachyn Mital below, along with attendee-taken video.
