The Breeders celebrated ‘Last Splash’ 30th anniversary @ Kings Theatre with Screaming Females (pics, setlist)

The Breeders‘ classic second album, Last Splash, just turned 30. The band are celebrating with a new “all-analog” vinyl edition out now, and the lineup of the group that made that album — Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim MacPherson, plus touring member Sophie Galpin — are out on the road playing it in full. The tour hit Brooklyn on Saturday at Kings Theatre for a show with Screaming Females as openers, making for a great double bill.

In addition to their Last Splash set, which features “Cannonball,” “Divine Hammer,” “Do You Love Me Now?,” “I Just Wanna Get Along” and more, The Breeders came back for a second set of other songs, opening with Kim’s Pixies classic “Gigantic.” They closed out the night with a three-song encore of “Safari,” “Iris,” and “Fortunately Gone.” Check out The Breeders’ King Theatre setlist along with photos of the whole night by Ellen Qbertplaya below.

The Breeders will be back in NYC in the spring to open for Olivia Rodrigo at four Madison Square Garden shows.
