Sleater-Kinney‘s tour supporting their new album Little Rope continues; we caught them earlier this month in Atlanta, and last week they stopped in NYC for three shows, Brooklyn Steel on Wednesday and Thursday (3/13 and 3/14) and a club show at Racket on Saturday (3/16). We went on Saturday night, when Carrie Brownstein, shimmying and kicking around the stage with her typical magnetism, encouraged the sold out crowd to get rowdy in the intimate setting; they were more than happy to oblige.
The band kept to similar setlists on all three nights in NYC, focusing on their new album and beginning each show with its first two tracks, “Hell,” and “Needlessly Wild.” Night one got the tour debut of the title track of 2000’s All Hands on the Bad One, which they also played on nights two and three, and night two got the tour debut of One Beat‘s “Oh!,” which they brought back on Saturday night as well. Night three included a rendition of “Slow Song” from their 1995 self-titled debut, and all three nights ended with The Woods track “Entertain.” See all three nights’ setlists below.

The North American leg of Sleater-Kinney’s tour continues through April, and they’re livestreaming their Los Angeles show from The Wiltern on March 29.
