Roisin Murphy brought her first-ever North American solo tour to MHOW (pics)

Róisín Murphy released her new album Take Her Up to Monto earlier this year, and the singer — who has been at it since the mid ’90s (including time as one half of the duo Moloko) — is on her first-ever North American solo tour as we speak. That tour hit Music Hall of Williamsburg on Friday (11/4), and was part of the ongoing Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival.

There were clearly a lot of hardcore fans in the audience, who were singing, dancing, and eating everything up. Her set was quite the spectacle and had tons of costume changes — not off-stage costume changes, but like putting on a hat, or a mask, or taking off a jacket, or layering one skirt over another. She was in constant transformation.

Pictures of the show, including openers Covert Joy, are in the gallery above.
