Porridge Radio played their last NYC show at Warsaw (pics, video)

Porridge Radio released their very good new album Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me in October, but they recently revealed they were breaking up after their North American tour, which began last week and hit NYC on Saturday night (1/25) for a show at Warsaw. They didn’t address the news from the stage that night, but you could feel it in the crowd, with people yelling out “PORRIDGE!” and “RADIO!” between songs a few times.

Keyboard player Georgie isn’t out with the band for this final run — “Sadly Georgie won’t be able to make it because her partner still needs a lot of care after an accident in December,” they wrote on Instagram — but Libby Hsieh (Alvidrez) stepped in for her, and they sounded fantastic playing a bunch of their new songs and a few older ones, with Every Bad favorite “Sweet,” in the encore, getting a particularly big reception. Porridge Radio still have final EP, The Machine Starts to Sing, on the way, out on February 21 via Secretly Canadian.
