Nick Cave is in the midst of his fall solo tour, which stopped in NYC over the weekend for a show at Kings Theatre on Friday night (10/6), and Beacon Theatre shows on Saturday and Sunday (10/7 and 10/8). Pictures from Friday by P Squared are below.
Nick is accompanied by Radiohead‘s Colin Greenwood on bass for these shows, and kept to a similar setlist for the NYC stops; all three nights began with Bad Seeds tracks “Girl in Amber,” “Higgs Boson Blues,” “Jesus of the Moon,” and “Galleon Ship,” and all also featured “The Mercy Seat,” “The Weeping Song,” “Into My Arms,” “Jubilee Street,” “Carnage,” “Push the Sky Away” to end the main set, Nick Cave and Warren Ellis tracks “Carnage” and “Balcony Man,” and more. Grinderman’s Grinderman 2 track “Palaces of Montezuma” appeared in all three nights’ encores, and Kings Theatre also got a second Grinderman song, “Man in the Moon,” as well as the tour debut of Bad Seeds cut “He Wants You.” See the setlists for all three nights, and attendee-taken video from each, below.
Nick is also doing book dates for 2022’s Faith, Hope and Carnage during this tour, and he stopped at The Strand and the 92nd Street Y, both with Seán O’Hagan, on Thursday (10/5).
