Japanese post-rock greats MONO are currently on an orchestral tour supporting their Steve Albini-recorded album OATH, which also celebrates the band’s 25th anniversary. The tour, which has June McDoom opening the shows, hit Brooklyn at Pioneer Works on Thursday. They played OATH in its entirety, backed with strings and horns, and then returned for a two-song encore featuring “Ashes in the Snow” and “Everlasting Light” from 2009’s Hymn to the Immortal Wind.

In other news, MONO have been added to Alcest’s upcoming tour which also includes Kaelan Mikla. The tour wraps in Brooklyn at Warsaw on March 23 and all dates are listed below.
