Lollapalooza 2026 day 1 pics & video (Wet Leg, CMAT, Viagra Boys, Blood Orange & more)
The 2026 edition of Lollapalooza began on Thursday (7/30) in Chicago’s Grant Park. Lorde headlined day one, returning for the festival for the first time since her 2017 set, which was evacuated after a few songs due to severe weather. This time things went ahead as scheduled (aside from a pause for medical attention to reach fans in need in the crowd), and Lorde brought out Friday headliner Charli XCX to join her on the remix of “Girl, so confusing.” It’s not the first time they’ve performed the song together, but the excitement in the crowd still hit a fevered pitch at the sound of the opening notes. Thursday at Lollapalooza also included sets from Viagra Boys, Wet Leg, CMAT, Little Simz, Audrey Hobert, Chalk, Blood Orange (who covered Björk’s “All Is Full of Love”), Boys Noize, Ninajirachi, Ecca Vandal, Haute & Freddy, Bad Nerves, and more. See pictures of lots of that by James Richards IV, along with an attendee-taken video clip of Lorde and Charli, below. Lollapalooza is also streaming live on Hulu and Disney+.
