Brooklyn alt-metal vets Life Of Agony celebrated their new album The Sound of Scars with an intimate, hometown release show at Coney Island Brewery on Saturday (10/12), which BrooklynVegan co-presented — along with WSOU and The Jerry Farley. The new album is a concept album and a sequel to LOA’s classic 1993 debut River Runs Red, which just so happened to turn 26 the same day as the Coney Island show, and LOA played stuff from both of those LPs plus a career-spanning selection of other tracks. LOA are also gearing up for a proper tour, including a larger hometown-area show at NJ’s Starland Ballroom on December 21 with Dog Eat Dog, Despyre, and Empire Fallen (tickets).
