Gnaw Their Tongues at Trans-Pecos – 6/6/15
Maurice de Jong’s noise/ambient/metal project Gnaw Their Tongues headlined day 2 of NYC’s Apex Fest at Trans-Pecos on Saturday (6/6), just a couple weeks after playing Maryland Deathfest. He handled bass and vocals, and was accompanied by a woman who did all the samples/computer stuff. Their set was relentless, punishing, and downright fantastic.
Other sets throughout the day included Menace Ruine, IRM, Sutekh Hexen and Barren Harvest. Unfortunately, Burial Hex cancelled the day before the show, and Trepaneringsritualen played too but we missed them.
